Joyce Uptown Foodshelf relies on neighbors like you to keep our program running. Volunteers, donors, and guests all overwhelmingly come from the uptown neighborhood. If you would like to support this mission see below for ways to donate goods or money, all from your phone!
Amazon Wish List
Our foodshelf receives much of our food from individual donors and suppliers like Second Harvest. However, we don’t have a reliable resource for getting basic household needs. Visit our Amazon wishlist to see what we currently need, and you can purchase directly from your amazon account.
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations are the most helpful and can be made through the donate link below or sent to Joyce at 3041 Fremont Avenue South, Minneapolis 55408. For every $1.00 donated we can purchase $2.20 of food from our foodbanks.
In-Kind Donations
Much of the food we receive is from neighbors and supports like you. We accept food donations on Fridays from 9-1 or other times by appointment. If you have a large donation or if Fridays don’t work, please call and we can work something out.
We accept unopened, unexpired food and some of our most needed food items are ethnic and Hispanic items, specialty items like shelf-stable dairy-free milk and Gluten Free items, cereal, peanut butter, granola bars, rice, dried beans and canned meat. Please do not bring expired items; we will throw them away.
Gardeners: We can accept surplus vegetables from your garden! Please contact Matthew@joyceuptownfoodshelf.org with inquiries.
Shopping bags needed! Take a minute to clean out your closets and donate used paper and cloth shopping bags.
